I saw the movie last night and think it's one of the best performances Clint ever did.

Quentin Tarantino is sticking to his guns, literally and figuratively. He’s really going to stick with the spelling of Inglourious Basterds for his Brad Pitt-starring WWII film. It’s official, and now the film has an official release date - August 21, 2009. In the halcyon days of summer blockbusters, late August releases were considered a fate worse than death. All of the good summer movies were released in May, June and July, and by August people were tired of explosions and the kids were getting ready to go back to school. However, the times they are a changin’. And Inglourious Basterds isn’t the ...

I just read on TMZ that The Watchmen movie is in trouble!
"In a ruling that could delay the release of one of the most anticipated movies of next year -- and subsquently send every fanboy leaping from the rooftops -- a judge decided yesterday Fox does indeed own rights in the upcoming "Watchmen" film.

Long story short -- Fox acquired the rights in the 1980s for producer Larry Gordon. After a few botched attempts to make the movie, Gordon partnered up with Warner Brothers. But, Fox argued, Gordon never acquired the full rights to the property from Fox -- thus the lawsui...

Bedtime Stories" is his first family-friendly comedy, not to mention his first for Walt Disney Pictures. But if Sander can startle us in a dark, obsessive role like "Punch-Drunk Love," he can surprise us here, too. In a modern-day fairy tale about hopes, aspirations and family, Sander displays a winning form under the light and mischievous direction of Adam Shankman("Bringing Down the House").
While not being pitched exclusively as a holiday item, the Christmas Day release makes a better movie than those generic comedies manufactured this time of year. The hits-to-misses ratio for its gags is above average, the sentimentality is kept in check and the film plays well to its audience. It winks nicely at parents and smiles broadly...

Tom Cruise's 13-year-old son will have a six-day jump on his father at the box office.
Connor Cruise makes his big-screen debut in "Seven Pounds," which opens Friday. On Dec. 25, his father's "Valkyrie" hits theaters.
It's a small, supporting role for Connor, one of two children from Cruise's marriage to Nicole Kidman. Cruise also has a daughter, Suri, with his wife, Katie Holmes.
In a recent interview, Cruise said he's very proud of Connor, but was careful not to pressure him.
"Who knows what he's going to do?" Cruise said. "He's grown up on (acting). I've always had my kids there, in...

Baz Luhrmann's "Australia" may be doing some middling U.S. boxoffice, earning about $39 million since it opened Thanksgiving weekend, but the director is unrepentant as the movie nears its first month of release stateside.
In one of his first interviews since the movie opened, he spoke out against "Australia's" critics and those he feels call him the "black hole of cinema." He also said he will move quickly on his next project, an adaptation of "The Great Gatsby," which he described as a perfect parable for economic disaster.
"A lot of reviewers like 'Australia.' And we're making people cry; I know because they write to us," he told the Hollywood Reporter dur...

I saw and early screening of this moive and it was very good! Brad Pitt was excellent and the CGI was fantastic! The music was also great!
It is a very interesting movie, obvioulsly something that people have never seen before. The Characters are very well written and the writting was very good as well.
Cate Blanchet was of course brillian as she always is, and there are some new comers that are very impressing! It is also a beautiful love story and is one of a kind.
It can be very depressing at times, but go see it on christmas day and let me know what you think.

Dire...
