While I'm not strongly on either side of the argument for the protection of animals and their rights, I'm loving the interesting stories and tidbits of news that are coming out related to PETA recently. The big commotion over Elizabeth Hurley posing for a mink fur company is ridiculous I think. Now Khloe Kardashian is posing nude for PETA's latest ad of "I'd rather go naked than wear fur." It's all so interesting and I hope we get more hot women wearing skimpy outfits or no outfits more often out of this. That's how you get the attention of the public, the men 'cause they stare, the women 'cause they actually read the message. It's great 'cause it works on both fronts.

The original story and...

This past weekend, John Cusack delivered a very heavy handed blog on the Huffington Post titled: "No Currency Left to Buy Big Lies". When referring to the "orgy of excess", Cusack says, "It turned capitalism into a Ponzi scheme for trading worthless paper."
Cusak says takes an impassioned tone throughout the blog and blames the Bush Administration in being corrupt, he says, "There is no more money left to loan or borrow the big lies or to sell them. No more money left to pay off the debt, the wreckage in the wake. The orgy of excess has drained every bottle, smashed the furniture and left the cupboards bare. All that's left is derivative debts -- bets between liars and lies. Trillions of d...

New mother Salma Hayek is speaking out against deadly disease in her role as spokeswoman for the Pampers/UNICEF's campaign to eliminate tetanus, which kills a newborn baby every three minutes in a poor country, according to the Associated Press.
"I had no idea how much it was going to really personally move me ... to actually see it in Sierra Leone," Salma said at a news conference in Geneva. She recently visited Sierra Leone as part of a vaccination drive battling the disease.

Tennis superstar Maria Sharapova has auctioned herself off for a date to support charity. The winning bid came in at $10,000. That's U.S. dollars not Yen... however, that sounds like a great deal to me. We could even take 50 EyeGossip users -- preferably men -- and split that up 50 ways ($200 per person). The date would have been weird as each of us would get 5 minutes to say hello, get an autograph and potentially a kiss on the cheek. OK... that may be expensive for $200 but Maria is worth it.
